With the exception of the kabobs, this can all be done in 30 minutes or less.
Persian Kabobs
This involves having to set up the meat in a marinade the night before.
Marinade is simple, finly chopped onion, 3 stems of safron disolved in 1 tablepoon of boiling water, salt and pepper. Cube some Lamb fillets (or pther meat if you like) and mix it with the marinade and put overnight in the fridge. When you get home, toss some rice (I Like the Basamati, but any will do) and add some safron in with the rice as well. Then pull the cubed lamb out and put it on a few skewers, and grill on the old Barbie, or if you perfer in a fry pan on your stove or in the oven.
Serve on the bed of rice, and toss some cilantro leaves on the side for garnish.

Add garlic, ginger, 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1/2 cup pinapple juice (or sherry if you like). Simmer for a bout 5 minutes. plate up and serve.
