Never got a detention in High school. Grammer school was another story all together. I usually spent half the year in detention for various things, usually for being a smartass. Punishments were dependent upon the teacher. My jr. high Science teacher was the worst, he used to take is class ring, put it on the base of a person's neck, then turn his wrist. He also liked throwing erasers at students.
