I stumbled across this band,
Fejd the other day and I think they're quite good. They have two albums avaliable for download on their website (for free) and both are excellent.
The music itself is Swedish folk rock. It's hard to describe exactly what it sounds like, but there's guitars (both acoustic and electric), drums, bagpipes, harps, and I think I even heard a Didjeridu in one of the songs. The singing, of course, is in Swedish and fits with the music quite well. The songs themselves are mostly three or four minutes in length are are quite jumpy while still maintaining that folky bardlike feel.
The songs you should definitly give a listen to are:
