I wouldn't suggest that Cuba is
fine, but there is little reason not to suspect that almost the entirety of their troubles are due to the US embargo. I'd certainly prefer an election process in Cuba, but elections are not the greatest thing since sliced bread - just look how absurd and abstract the elections are here in the States.
