As a Raiders fan... I have mixed feelings. I really wanted Al to make a move for a great back. I don't think I was the only one that was tired of the lacklustre combo of Wheatley and Zereoue, and I've been the one praying since the rumour about 6 months back when Ricky Williams said he wanted to come back to play for the Raiders, that Al would get him, somehow. There are big RBs on the market, and I hope the Raiders get somebody. Hell, I'd even throw the third round pick for Travis Henry (worst case), or make a stab at Alexander (or James before the Colts tagged him).
Don't get me wrong, I love Moss coming to the Raiders. The main reason I like the Raiders is the ever plentiful amount of off the field stories that come from them (I'm thinking Barrett Robbins getting shot up, Janikowski punching in car windows and mirrors, Woodson getting arrested at a club, etc.) I even liked the Warren Sapp deal not so much for his play, as I know he's not half the player he was, but for his attitude.
Moss coming to Oakland just fits. I'll be watching Week 1 to see if Collins can actually throw the long ball to Moss, and I'll more than likely be the first one to launch the remote at the TV on the first sack or dropped pass or interception, get all mad, reach for another beer, and relax. Until the next Raiders mishap.
