Well, think about it. My mother grew up in Florida in the 50s. Back when segregation was the norm. My father brought her back to Pennsylvania to live after they married. She was horrified the first time a "negro" sat down at the same lunch counter in J.J. Newberry's. Was my mother racist? You better believe it! She easily could've raised me to be a little Ku Kluxer. But, to her credit, she did not. My perception of race is a world apart from hers. Given enough time, and understanding, I fully believe that we, as a species, will achieve racial harmony. Maybe not in
my lifetime...but I'd say within another 3 generations or so.
