I use firefox. I hate neither Microsoft or Bill Gates. I used to use Internet Explorer and was a vocal advocate of it. I tried firefox before 1.0 release and didn't like it, so I stuck with Internet Explorer. When 1.0 was release, I made a decision to switch completely to firefox for a period of two weeks to give it a full try. That two weeks was up long ago and I am still using firefox. I like the tabbed browsing feature, I love extensions like AdBlock, ForecastFox, Slashy, Dictionary Search, FireFTP, etc.
I didn't receive spyware/adware using IE because I know what to click/download and what not to.
Lasereth: You are wrong in your overall assertion that Firefox is for the people that hate Microsoft and Bill Gates and Internet Explorer is for the people who are wise enough to not get spyware and adware. That statement might cover a few people, but I doubt the overall whole.
I do use IE on occasion to be able to use Sharepoint Services, and some other MS specific web based applications.
However, Firefox shall remain on my machine as my primary browser until something else comes along that I like better.
