I'm pretty sure that that dialog box has a "don't tell me this again" option. IE has it as well, but you turned it off years ago, so you don't remember that you did it.
I've been using Firefox for about two years now. Here's what I miss when I have to use a computer with IE:
Plus, Firefox is extraordinarily customizable. Nearly everything about it can be tweaked. I've spent a bit of time on it, and now it works exactly the way I want it to.
