The BCS is unfair to some conferences/teams, and they miss out on some serious cash. However, it is more than the BCS; it is the NCAA as a whole. They don’t allow stipends for players, some which are in need, and they make serious cash off players. That argument is more deep than that, but it is clear that players receive "intangible" benefits (exposure, education), and the NCAA receives tangible benefits ($). The NCAA didn't budge on Jeremy Bloom and his legit endorsements for something unrelated to his collegiate football career, and they penalized Mike Williams for declaring early after it was deemed legal.
I would love to see litigation to change a system that affects the NCAA.
