Dead Mobo?
windows xp
athlon 2200
256mb ram
no idea on the mobo, but i suspect it overheated and is damaged
I'm doing some computer work for a friend, here's the symptoms (os shouldn't matter as it won't go past bios)
when the computer is turned off or rebooted, bios loses detection of the primary hdd
secondary hdd cannot be detected
video card suddenly stopped working
processor had been having overheating issues for quite some time due to lack of a secondary fan (117-134 deg F)
tried replacing the cmos battery, didn't help.
any ideas? thanks for suggestions
edit: the owner decided on getting a new computer, as the old one is borked.
