Organix was their first, and it's really raw. It's a good album, but you can see the growth and increased use of sampling through their albums. Also, the linup i think changed between organix and do you want more. Phrenology is...different. I only listened a couple of times, and didn't like it too much, sounded alot different from their usual jazzy sound (ill have to listen again sometime in the future). I just got the tipping point a week ago, and it's pretty good. Its not as jazzy as their earlier stuff, but Black thought is really on top lyrically. I heard it was done more to showcase him, because they rely more on samples than earlier records. I personally think their best was things fall apart, but the two albums following really showcase the fact that they are still trying new things, which impresses me. Id also recommend getting their live album; it's not as good as their live show (which is proably the best in the business, they tour primarily) but it gives a good feel for what it's like.
They are really an amazing band, only group I think comes close in hip-hop is outkast.
