I wasn't as taken with Shogun as I thought I would be. Maybe I was too psyched up about it after reading a number of reviews, all glowing. I even started reading the art of war in preparation for it.
And. Well. The battles were neat. I liked that you could make people run away and that with good leadership you could route armies twice your size without many casualties.
Two days later, five hours of playing under my belt, it was back in the box and back onto playing something else. Since I bought it for a fiver I wasn't that bothered, just felt a little dissapointed I didn't get much else out of it.
Halo/Halo2 sure has come up a lot. I'm indifferent to them, to be honest. It can be fun when you don't know what to expect and you're running around doing the deathmatchly thing of picking up big weapons and suddenly a giant purple flying tank appears and annihilates you. Or when you're trying to bring a vehicle around to a friend for extra support and you end up landing on top of them.
