My mother and father are both the same way, they don't like to talk about their respective relationships unless asked. I mean, my father had been dating his recent girlfriend for eight months before I found out and only then because I helped him move in with her.
I'm not worried if anybody thinks I'm gay, it's the rapid leap in logic that throws me off kilter. "Well, we haven't seen him dating any girls, so, we must assume that he is gay." They haven't seen me date any guys either, but that doesn't seem to figure into the equation.
Oh well, what can you do?
