Just to make sure, that's a Cherokee and not a Grand Cherokee, right?
As for the lights, I have XJ FSMs at home for 88 and late 90's. Might be going home in a couple days.
The window problem is probably caused by the driver door wiring harness. The wires eventually weaken and fail inside the boot. The harness is available as a replacement part. Many people just trace down the bad wires as they occur. The bad ones are generally visible once you open up the boot.
