I don't think so. I was under the impression that he was called in specifically. Again, I'd have to check.... If he's just another secret service agent, why not just ask one of the several the Defense secretary has hanging around to do the job? He's also had quite a bit of screen time to be just a bit player. Of course, that's just my opinion?
