Soundgarden initially got me into the Rock/Metal thing. They are still one of my favorites today.
Public Enemy got me into Rap, and in my opinion, nobody has even come close to what they have done for the genre.
I grew up on Stevie Ray Vaughn, and is probably the first music I actually started listening to as a kid.
