My recent cruise experiences have been on Celebrity, which is highly rated among the real nice, but not super ridiculously expensive category.
Their Millinium class ships are fantastic with very good food and service. The thing I like about them is that their are no public announcements, unlike other lines with the PA system never letting you think. You get the schedule printed and on your bed every night with turn down service. That class of ships also has a great specialty restaurant with a theme and memorabilia from a classic ship such as the Olympic, or the Normandy.
No, I don't get a kick-back....I have just had a good time on them.
