I like the latest format Much better than the initial one. The differential font sizing helps your names and other important information stand out better. I understand what you are saying with the font determining what will and won't be capitalized. I have seen some other fonts that work the same way.
I think that the items that are bolded tend to push the characters in each word a little too close together making them difficult to read. I think that there is a term for the inter-character spacing in a type-set. Kerfing? Something like that. I am not sure that it is something that you have control over, but you might consider removing the bold if it makes it more legible overall.
