McNabb threw 3 INTs, though only 2 mattered. I suppose that's the key stat. Those two turnovers allowed the Patriots to overcome their dismal performance on third down. Outside of third down, the Patriots played a fine offensive game, and rushed for 112 yards at 4 per carry. Brady threw with his typical efficiency, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes, 2 TDs, and no interceptions. The Eagles were hurt by a few factors. Even though they ran a pass heavy offense, putting the ball in McNabb's hands 51 times was excessive. Although Westbrook isn't a pound the football type guy, they should have done more to establish a running game. Though I'd say it wasn't a big factor with the emergence of Greg Lewis, having Todd Pinkston leave the game just as he was hitting his stride struck a blow to the Eagle passing game. Ultimately, the Eagle defense couldn't stop the Patriots when it counted: 4th quarter, in the Super Bowl.
