Speaking of the Civil War (15 posts up?)

Did you know that the man (Wilmer McClain) who owned the property that the first battle of the Civil War was fought on (Manassas, or 1st Bull Run) moved away to escape the violence of the war? Well, he moved to a town called Appomattox. The treaty ending the war was signed in his parlor.

The Civil War began in his yard, and ended in his living room. In different states.
