It was written by Ian Fleming and the original movie was a very funny (if odd Brit humor is what you like) parody. It was very close to the book, with only comedy added.
It was David Niven as Bond, Woody Allen as his son, and had a pretty good cast.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with this movie.
