 I agree with this wholeheartedly.  Unfortunately ShaniFaye, I've found that's how most of the people out there who are not in the lifestyle view D/s...  *sighs*  In the 15 years I've been active and public in BDSM, I've seen lots and lots of misunderstanding about the differences in the roles and natures of the lifestyle.

As far as I'm concerned, this is just play.  I don't mean this as a dig at your wife, but maybe she's just afraid to take risks....  On the other hand, if she gets really turned on and excited when you take a dominant role, then maybe the two of you should supplement your exploration with some research into BDSM....  its <i><b>not</b></i> about whips and chains and leather and what you see on television and in the movies.  (Unless, of course, you want it to be.
