I've never tried it myself.
The only complaint I've heard (and this is from a co-worker) is that it gave him headaches. Of course, he popped them like Chicklets. I'd imagine his casual use of it is what made him sick to his stomach and gave him the headaches.
Personally, I've had no luck with smoking supplements. I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey about four years ago although I still enjoy the occasional cigar.
As I understand it, the first 48 hours without nicotine (while it's being filtered out of your system) is the hardest. I quit over a weekend and drank lots of water. I don't know if it helped, but I got through just fine. I was cranky as hell and kept catching myself snacking, but it was worth it in the end.
