SOMEWHERE in this office, I have a really great chart concerning IRA'S and the time value of money. 3K invested per year from age 15 to age 18 (and then no more) = some outrageous number at age 65. 3K per year from 18 to 28 = something less, 3K per year from 28 to 65 = something less still. Really does not matter what the interest rate is, the
lesson is the point. Wish I had learned that
