Yes it is terribly annoying. I get my glasses cheap - real cheap. I would like to get contacts again or get used to my old ones since they're still functionable. I had rigid contacts before though and haven't been in the mood to acclimate to them again. I did find that cutting onions and every other activity was less irritating to my eyes.

They have contacts now that you cannot feel even after you've just put them in. Also when I had rigid contacts I had a fly fly into my eye, hit my contact, and bounce off. Never hurt or bothered me - didn't even feel it. It was creepy to know the thing had just hit my eye though and I hadn't felt it. Wierd but not painful. Someday I'll go back to contacts.
