reading anything, even the worlds best info, it will take a long time to get it right- expect months before you get really consistant results- the trick is to stand at the same distance from the target each time you throw when you start out, then after you are hitting most of the time (75%) then start varrying your distance- practice a lot, and then practice more- If it sucks at first, you arent bad at it, everyone I know, myself included was terrible at first, and this is often discouraging- btw for safety reasons, be careful about backstops, and remember that a knife can bounce back at ya- I scared the living hell outa myself early on when I threw one way too hard and had it ping off the plywood sheet the target was on and come winging past my ear....
