I sincerely hope keyshawn didn't leave an open water bottle in his car, but rather an opened.
In the summer we sometimes put plastic soda bottles in the fridge (about 5 °F I think) to cool them down fast, if you leave them for more than an hour they'll be frozen solid. The stuff about the dissolved carbon dioxide sounds reasonable though. Maybe that was it?
