I would second the Halflife and Counter Strike suggestion, They are great games. If you were hoping more for a platform game then Medal of Honor and the Rising Sun one does have multiplayer so you can test your skills against other people.
Really the best FPS is Halo but seeing as how you have Ps2, thats out of the question. I would also like to warn you that the James Bond games for Ps2 are not very good, at least I did not like them.
