Some Poems I wrote
Revelations
When dreams where I die
bring solace to my soul,
I know not where to turn
How can I go on knowing my conscience empty?
Nothing affects me anymore:
lies constantly issue from my painted lips
I am not sorry
excuses made for reason inept
Am I late again?
I see the pain I cause
Oops, I didn’t mean to
My emotions slip through my hands
like grains of sand
leaving a cold, indifferent shell
Lonely teardrops
rolling down my cheekbones
Dissipate into the murky waters of the Danube
My thoughts turn
(sadly)
to you
I thought I felt you tap
my shoulder
Oh, wait,
That’s just the rain
Fragments of a Great Confession
Fragments of this great Confession
fester deep within in Me
I long for You to put them Together-
like a puzzle
piece by piece-
Until the picture is Whole
So that You can see all of Me
Even the harsh, ugly
Broken places-
Where all the Crimes I’ve committed
Against You lay
Untouched
Unspoken
But still There
Fragments of this great Confession
fester deep within Me
Waiting for You to unlock
their Secrets-
Silently hoping You never will
