But they do get to choose what they make of those circumstances and should be held responsible for those choices. He had every right to try to commit suicide if he so desired but he had no right to try take anyone else with him. I think it would be better for everyone involved if he went through with his suicide - it would cost the taxpayers less money and his wife and kid would be safer. If he had gotten his car off the tracks because he didn't want to die, there would be no problem with helping him get better. When he left the car on the tracks he chose to take the consequences of his actions and lost his right to help and life. What did he think was going to happen when the train hit the car? That it would go right through without touching it?
