Yeah, she's a pure breed. Athena was rescued from an abusive situation. I think the trainer that fostered her can get her papers but we're not too concerned with that. We just love her and she's bonded very tightly with us. People have a tendency to misunderstand her protective instinct as aggression...in fact, once she gets to know you she's a very friendly and affectionate dog, just wary of strangers. Guards the house like nobody's business and we are grateful for that.
