a good friend of mine in medical school with me was a history major in college. just need to take the necessary pre-requisite courses.
i suppose you could also do law school and business school as well.
teaching, as you have already indicated, sounds good. people who want to teach can make a big difference. one of my favorite professors in college was a history teacher... but i digress.
