While driving on a gravel road out in the middle of nowhere in Central British Columbia, I came upon a $400 Sage flyrod in it's protective tube. Another km down the road there was a duffle bag full of fly fishing gear including 4 very nice wooden boxes full of flys, 3 Hardy reels with different types of flyline, a wading vest full of leaders and assorted gear, a nice little 35mm camera, a pair of binoculars, a nice stainless coffee flask, and a pair of Rayban sunglasses. About 2 km down the same road I could see a nice pair of neoprean waders lying in the middle of the road and althought they didn't fit me, they did fit a good friend of mine for $50
. I kept wondering when I was going to come across a nice float tube.
Alltogether I figured I scored over $2000 worth of fishing gear in less than 15 minutes.
