I'll have to believe your statistics, because I'm not famliar with the issues.
But I do have one simple question.
Why do you
NEED a military class, full automatic, weapon? Assault weapons are designed (with apologies to Mr Taratino) for when "you have to absolutely, positively, kill every mother fucker in the room".
I laugh at people who say that M-16 (or AR-15) or AK-47's are needed for hunting or "personal protection". You're not fooling anyone.
Machine guns should be banned. And you will never be able to convince me otherwise. At least you'll have to pry said opinion from "my cold, dead mind..."
