I live in a rented second floor apartment. Some years ago, the first floor apartment below ours was occupied by a family that can be most accurately referred to as "white trash". I would constantly hear their mother screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing and threatening her two kids, throwing objects around, etc. while blasting country music out of their boombox. Some times there was heavy pot smoke seeping its way up through the floor into our place. Our complaints were, naturally, never dealt with, and the family has since moved out.
They have not paid the rent for about year, and the landlord was going through some drawn out legal processes to get them evicted. That could be the reason for their leaving....
