That's not what I got from this. Have you see more? I see a strut-like component under each fender for suspension.
I believe they're just talking about the effect of a single driving input to a center-diff axle causing a rotational force on the entire axle. Stop both tires, turn the prop shaft, and the axle has to rotate with the propshaft. But if you use a prop shaft for each corner the effect is removed. Not a big deal in practice though engineers would notice the loads.
Anyway, it's a concept car. Dual hemi's would mean terrible compromises for anything but a George Barris one-off.
