I've been to a hookah bar here in the DC Metro area. In Alexandria there's a whole string of hookah bars and other southern asian stores. I personally liked it. The last time I went we got a strawberry hookah and an apple hookah. I smoke cigarettes as well, and can tell you the hookah smoke is much lighter, and easier to take in. It's pretty pleasant. I'd recommend going to anyone.
