there's different speeds of film - depedning on what you are using it for - (I'm not a photographer at all -_ i just read labels) 100, 200, 400, 1000 -- 1000 I beleive is professional type use only - and the lower the speed the less/more amount of light needed -- i'm not sure which is which right now - but one speed is better if you are outdoors in direct sun, another is better if you are indoors in lowlight.

I think it's the ISO if the film?
