bacon wrapped scallops.... easy as pie.... take large scallops wrap in bacon (use toothpicks or shishkabob style) put in broiler or on BBQ until bacon is cooked.

salad - buy the bags it's easier and has all the stuff you need to be decorative, you can get mesculen salad if you like to be different

baked potato - rub in salt, wrap in foil, place in 375 oven for 1 hour. (18 mins/lb)

small pork or beef roast - rub in salt, pepper, cut poke holes in the roast and insert whole cloves of garllic, pour small can of coke or sprite on top of roast and baste every 15 minutes in oven of 375 for 1 hour. (If you have a thermometer, take it out at about 175 I believe that's medium)

buy a bag of frozen veggies, broccoli, sugar snap peas (something you both like) stir fry them when your roast has been taken out of the oven and is resting for 5 minutes.

Make a pretty table setting. Serve roast at table, plate the rest of the food and then carve and serve.
