You could try a black with red accents, darker blue of some sort, overall red just gets overdone....you've put a lot of work into the car, it should stand out
If you're going to be lifting the lid quite a bit (engine is light blue in some parts) you might want to match it up with that somehow...so maybe black is the best bet..
I definitely wouldn't go for red though
