I have three memories from when I was two. I'm not sure which came first but they all occured at a house my family lived in for just about six months, that's how I know how old I was. So in no particular order:
I had a dream that I was in Mr. Rogers fantasy land and I was hanging out with the cat. He told me to look in an empty well, when I did I saw a crab, a shark and a plant. The shark suddenly jumped up the well and latched onto my head, which scared me awake. I ran into my parents room to get some help, as soon as I woke my mom up I realized the shark wasn't on my head anymore but I hadn't quite realized it was just a dream. So I asked my mom if she had taken the shark off my head.
Next one: I was sitting eating a peanutbutter sandwich with my girl friend, Kimberly Smith. My parents were doing yard work.
Last one: I was in my back yard turning over rocks looking for bugs and found a big hairy spider. I picked it up and brought it into the house to ask my mom if I could keep it. She told me to drop it, then she stepped on it, picked it up with a napkin and through it in the trash. I never asked her if I could keep another insect or spider again, though I almost always had at least one, as a pet, for the rest of my childhood.
