Yeah, mine are actual memories too, because I knew about them before they were brought up in later years.
I often questioned them (since they were at such a young age) growing up, whether or not they were dreams or just something I conjured up on my own, but I assure you they aren't.
For example, I remember always going over this house - friends of my mom and dad. I remember playing in their pool all the time and being in one of those little floatation devices. It came up in casual conversation with my mom one time when I was 18 or 19; she told me how we always used to go over her friend's house (who she worked with) and I loved playing in their pool. I just turned 1 around that time.
As for the crib memories, I can't really validate those except with pictures. I can't exactly ask my dad, "Hey, remember standing over my crib talking to me?"

There were pictures of my first room that I hadn't seen till I was 14 or 15, but I've always had the memories. When I saw the pictures, I did remember that room. We moved out of that house well before I turned 1, so that's all I need to know it's real!
