On Loverboy's request I made Chili Con Carne tonight, mmmmmmmm!
I thought I'd show you how I make it. It's really easy to make actually so you first time cooks can give it a shot if you want to
Here are all the ingredients you'll need in order to make my kind of Chili Con Carne:
In case you can't make it all out it's: beef (2.2 lbs), mixed beans in mild chili sauce, peppers, oil, boullion cubes (you people know what boullion is right?
), skinned tomatoes, onion and spices; paprika, chili, pepper and salt.
You can add extra onion, peppers, skinned tomatoes etc after your liking of course!
1. You cut up the onion and peppers and fry them in oil for like 10 mins or so:
2. Then you add the beef and brown it:
3. Add the skinned tomatoes and boullion cubes and let it fry some more.
4. Add as much water as you like:
(I know it looks like soup but the sauce really doesn't contain as much water as it looks!
)
5. Add all the spices to taste and then let it simmer as you find the rice and boil that as well. It's best to let the sauce simmer as the rice boils as well for like 20 mins or so. Then you're sure that all the vegetables are done coz noone likes half boiled vegetables
6. After simmering for 20 minutes the sauce is gonna look like this:
*drools*
- And NOW you add the beans. Do
not add them before you let it simmer for 20 minutes or else they'll end up all mashy. Euw!!
When the rice is done you're ready to serve dinner:
Voilá!
