This is a bizarre question, the US defeats Hitler, and then ceases to exist?
I suspect the cold war would not have been and the Soviets would have over taken most if not all of Europe, Asia, Africa, and whatever the compenents of North Amrica are. Communism/totalitarianism would be the order of the world.

Only speaking from my limited experience but there are a lot of people that dislike the US. Many Australians don't think highly of the US's arrogance at all. We also question America's intentions in IRAQ....

No offense taken personally, but I believe the recent re-election of Prime Minister Howard paints a much different picture then the one you have tried to paint.
Wasn't this almost exclusively a referendum on Australia's cooperation with the US in world affairs? And a resounding defeat of those not on board with Australia's direction?
