Getting to work on the 23rd was a real drag. My wife told me just to call in but I figured I should just get off my ass and get into work.
After trudging through the rain (and managing to keep my feet beneath me) I finally made it to the streetcar stop and had to wait almost a half an hour for a car (usually at rush hour it is less and 5 mins).
The statue of Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen was looking particulaly chilly and lonely that morning... usually there are scores of old chinese men and women doing exercises at the time of the morning...
When the car finally came it was full. Halfway to work it was short turned and I to get off and catch the next car... that in turn was short turned... took me almost 1.5 hours to make what usually takes 40 to 50 minutes.
