Our daughter took self defense classes. Along with those, we've always taught her to grab low, grab the balls (we called them testicles when talking to her) and to squeeze and pull as hard as she could.
Like Mage said, rapists are among the lowest of our species. I hope this guy makes a lot of new "friends" in jail.
