I never in the 2 1/2 years (couldnt stay well long enuff to have the tonsils taken out...finally ended up having the surgery will I had yet another case of mono) I had either strep, tonsilitis, or mono was perscribed PAIN PILLS for my throat....lol my doctor would laugh him self sick if I told him I wanted vicodin for a sore throat......topicals are the way to go.
