System Shock 1 and 2 (1 is really old, 2 relatively old)
Fallout 1 and 2 (play them in order, you might as well! I liked F1's plot better, but F2 is less buggy and better written) both relatively old
Star Control 2 (you can download legal free versions of this. Search for "The Ur-Quan Masters". It is a very different kind of RPG. Ancient game -- like 386 ancient)
I've heard good things about "Chrono Trigger". Is it a PC game?
Deus Ex (less old)
None of these are new and shiny.
