No, truly pretentious books have
passages in foreign languages. But it's still great fun, pretention or not; I, for example, was positively tickled when I realized I could read the correspondence in
War and Peace - Isn't this why we get useless (from an employment standpoint) liberal arts degrees, so we can read this stuff and feel good about ourselves?
