Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs

So, I'm halfway through this book, Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs, by Chuck Klosterman. I couldn't resist after seeing it so many times on the Social Issues shelves at nearly every bookstore I stepped into, right next to Fast Food Nation. Like the aforementioned study of the influence of fast food on big fat Americans, this one is a good, entertaining read.

Klosterman's work is more personal and more essay-like. He is also an absolute pop culture junkie, a Real World amateur scholar (he claims to have seen every episode of every season at least three times). Think the conversations in Kevin Smith movies but deeper. It's your most opinionated friend making claims without real evidence, but he always seems to be right on topics ranging from the greatness of Billy Joel to how John Cusack ruined modern romance.

Anyways, pick it up. It's good stuff.
